2006 Vintage

The 2006 was a very challenging vintage in the LOIRE due to a combination of unusual weather conditions (warm+wet) in this region. However our 2006 wines have achieved a great balance due to a keen knowledge of our terroirs, better fruit quality through organic management of the vineyards along with our biodynamic pulverizations to stimulate the microbiological life into our soils and improve the vines’ natural immunity system, and optimum picking decisions made upon the previous vintages’ observations and experiences.

2006 LEVIN SAUVIGNON BLANC, Loire, VDP du Jardin De La France

Appearance: Clear and day bright with light green reflections.

Nose: Clean and fresh with a subtly herbaceous nose redolent of hedgerows and nettles, leading to aromas of white fruits, pear and apple, with hints of tropical fruit and wild mint, which typifies the LEVIN style.

Palate; Rich and refreshing with intense flavours that echo the nose; wild mint, a subtle herbaceousness, citrus and grapefruit with tropical fruit characters and just a hint of pineapple. Underpinned by characteristic minerality and a delicious mouth-watering acidity .
